Craig Huckstep
Owner
Craig started CMH Builders in April 2006, after working for a local home builder for the previous four years. A 2002 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction Management, Craig started CMH Builders with a small, personal company mentality to best serve his customers.
Today, CMH Builders has over 24 employees and specializes in full basement finishing. Craig has put together a cast of experienced and dependable project consultants, project managers, designers, and tradesmen with the skills necessary to approach each project with confidence. Knowing that his name is being put on every project, Craig takes the time and effort needed to make sure that the job is done right – and up to his high standards.
Brandon Kriese
Director of Sales and Estimating
Brandon comes to CMH with over 30 years of experience in the construction field. Brandon started his career working under a master carpenter before attending college and later moved into sales and management with a large local company. During this employment, Brandon received numerous certifications in the building industry. In 2000, Brandon started his own general contracting company, where his expertise in the industry helped him design, sell, and manage large commercial and residential projects.
Brandon’s extensive background in the industry drives him to give our customers the highest quality of customer care and satisfaction. Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children and being involved with his church.
John Prewitt
General Manager
In February 2017, after spending several years working for a large insurer, John joined the CMH team as a project manager. He holds an MBA from Bethel University, and a bachelor’s degree from Aquinas College in Nashville, Tennessee. John is currently fulfilling the role of General Manager. He uses his education and previous work experiences to improve the company’s efficiency, manage staffing, and assist with achieving the company’s mission of “treating every home like it is our own” through the management of the overall operations.
John enjoys watching the Boilermakers, Colts, and Pacers with his wife and their four kids. Coaching baseball, working on home improvement projects with his sons, and art projects with his daughter keep him very busy. Most importantly, John enjoys being part of a team that is continually working towards one unified goal.
Kaden Atkins
Project Manager
Three years ago, Kaden started his career at CMH as a delivery driver, but his hard work and dedication quickly earned him a promotion to a field employee role. After gaining valuable hands-on experience for over two years, he was promoted once again—this time to Project Manager.
Thanks to his extensive background in the field, Kaden brings a unique perspective to his PM position. Unlike someone new to the role, he understands every step of the project process, ensuring smoother, more efficient results for homeowners. Whether it’s transforming your basement into a cozy living space or overseeing complex renovations, Kaden is committed to bringing your vision to life.

Nick Vazques
Project Manager
Nick comes to CMH Builders with many years in construction. joining the team in December 2020. Nick proudly served in the US Army, then attended Indiana State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in construction management. He then went on to expand his construction knowledge by working on various multimillion-dollar projects, including but not limited to building new multi-family homes across the country.
Nick enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, and boating with his wife and their three kids. Most importantly, Nick enjoys building and construction and prides himself on paying attention to the details required to complete a great-looking finished product.
Mike Gettinger
Estimator
Mike joins CMH Builders after spending several years working in the commercial construction industry. Mike joined CMH as a project manager in 2020 and has filled several roles for the team in a very short time. Mike’s attention to detail and financial expertise are leveraged in his role serving as project estimator. His extensive knowledge of the industry provides clients with the highest quality product at the best price.
Mike not only enjoys the work he does at CMH, but also enjoys completing home projects, fishing, boating, and spending time with his wife and dog. Most importantly, Mike enjoys being part of a team that is continually working toward one unified goal!
Kendra Bunch
Office Administrator
Kendra has more than 10 years of customer service experience with the CMH team. She is accustomed to addressing the changing needs of an office and supporting colleagues and management with a variety of tasks. She is passionate, knowledgeable, and extremely skilled in providing support to her team, helping them to best serve our customers’ needs.
Kendra keeps us all organized by managing a variety of software applications, office equipment, and filing systems and has proven to be an invaluable teammate. In her free time, Kendra enjoys camping, cooking, and spending time with her family, which includes her dog, Finn.
