CMH Builders is collecting food donations to benefit the Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry ahead of the holiday season.
The Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry supports all Avon Community School Corporation employees and families who have a child in the Avon Community School Corporation. In 2020, CMH Builders delivered a truck-and-a-half load of food items just in time for the holidays.
“Giving back to the communities we live in and do business in is just something that makes up “The CMH Difference,” said owner Craig Huckstep. “We pride ourselves on doing the right thing 100 percent of the time, whether that’s on the job site or in our community.”
In its 15 years of operation, CMH Builders has committed to supporting the community through food drives, sponsorship of youth sports programs, and supporting local school systems. This is the third consecutive year CMH Builders has held a food drive, and the second year it has partnered with the Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry for a holiday food drive.
“We believe that investing in our communities is just the right thing to do, and we hope that through this food drive, we can make someone’s holiday season just a bit warmer,” said John Prewitt, general manager of CMH Builders. “Last year, we filled up a truck-and-a-half with donated items, and we hope to exceed that amount this year.”
Alongside CMH Builders employees, vendors, and clients, the public is invited to participate in this year’s food drive. Suggested items for donation are:

- Canned goods (fruit, vegetables, meat, beans, soup, nuts)
- Rice and rice mixes
- Pasta and pasta mixes
- Cereal, oatmeal packets, granola bars
- Peanut butter, jelly
- Dried fruit, fruit snacks, fruit cups
Donations can be dropped off or scheduled for pick-up now through December 8th. Donations may be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the CMH Builders office, located at 8847 Commerce Park Place, Suite J, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
