Fifth Annual Holiday Food Drive

CMH Builders is hosting its Fifth-Annual Holiday Food Drive to benefit the Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry.

This year, CMH Builders is asking its business partners, vendors, and clients to help by sponsoring a box of food for $40. The boxes will contain foods that kids can make and snack on while they might be home alone during winter break and not receiving school-provided meals that many families depend on.

The Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry supports all Avon Community School Corporation employees and families who have a child in the Avon Community School Corporation.

“Last year we put together 40 boxes of food from donated items, in addition to items we purchased with funds that were donated,” said Craig Huckstep, owner of CMH Builders.

“We’re looking to increase the number of boxes we donate this year,” said Huckstep. “My mom, Tammy Huckstep, has stepped in again to coordinate all of the donation efforts. It’s a huge job and we’re thrilled to have her leading the drive again this year.”

CMH Builders will still accept donated food items, but this year is asking for donors to sponsor a $40 box of food, in an effort to be more efficient and donate more full boxes of food.

All canned and non-perishable food items will be collected; however, the items listed below are most in need:

• Mac & cheese
• Soup
• Granola bars
• Fruit snacks
• Pudding cups
• Fruit cups
• Cans of pasta, ravioli, SpaghettiOs, etc.

The deadline to sponsor a box is November 30th. If you would like to donate food items, those will be collected through December 8th and can be delivered to the CMH Builders office during normal business hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the CMH Builders office, located at 8847 Commerce Park Place, Suite J, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
